Whether designing a penthouse in the Middle East or a private villa abroad, LUMI’s work is shaped by a deep understanding of each client’s brief, lifestyle and aspirations. The studio brings a thoughtful, contemporary approach to every commission, translating diverse influences into spaces that feel considered, liveable and timeless rather than defined by a single signature style.
LUMI’s core team trained at leading UK-based architecture and design studios, bringing a strong foundation of technical expertise and a globally informed design sensibility. Hand-selected by Founder and Creative Director Alua Kul, the team delivers a highly personal service grounded in professionalism, discretion and deep industry knowledge.
What sets our luxury interior design studio apart
As a luxury interior design studio, we work on a small number of projects at any one time, which means every residence receives genuine attention from concept through to installation. We lead on architectural interior design, spatial planning, bespoke joinery and furniture sourcing, and we coordinate closely with architects and contractors so the design intent survives contact with the building site.
Our team splits its time between Dubai, London and Dallas, giving us a broad view of how luxury interiors are evolving in each market while keeping a single, consistent standard of craftsmanship across every project we take on.

Every project begins the same way: with a conversation about how our clients actually live, entertain and unwind, long before any material or finish is chosen. From there, our team develops a spatial plan, a considered material palette and a schedule of bespoke joinery and furniture, refining each element until it earns its place in the finished home.
We hold ourselves to the same standard on a two-bedroom apartment as we do on a multi-storey villa: nothing leaves our studio unless it is something we would be proud to put our name to.
