Four Seasons Residence
This ultra-luxury private villa is a masterclass in refined living—where every element has been thoughtfully crafted to evoke ease and effortless elegance. The design embraces an understated, neutral palette, allowing natural light, soft curves, and layered textures to take centre stage, creating a serene and timeless atmosphere. A curated personal art collection punctuates the space with character and meaning, while the meticulous attention to detail—from bespoke joinery and hand embroidered wall-hangings to hand-finished surfaces—underscores an uncompromising commitment to contemporary luxury and world-class craftsmanship.
A Considered Approach to Space and Light
The brief for this Four Seasons residence interior design project called for a home that could comfortably host family and guests while still feeling intensely personal day to day. Generous entertaining spaces open onto more intimate family areas, allowing the villa to adapt easily between quiet evenings and larger gatherings. Outdoor and indoor living were treated as a continuous experience, with soft furnishings and finishes selected to hold their character in both settings.
Rather than dividing the villa’s generous floor plate into a series of closed rooms, LUMI Interiors worked with the existing volumes to create a sequence of connected, light-filled spaces that flow naturally from one to the next. Sightlines were opened up wherever possible, drawing the eye toward the villa’s curved staircase and the soft, filtered daylight that moves through the home across the day. The result is an interior that feels generous without being cavernous, and calm without being cold.
Materials, Craft and the Details That Endure
Every material decision in this Four Seasons residence interior design scheme was chosen to age gracefully. Warm limewash plaster, honed limestone and pale American oak form a quiet, tactile backdrop, while bespoke joinery throughout the reception rooms and dressing areas was designed and hand-finished specifically for the space. In the principal living areas, hand-embroidered wall-hangings introduce texture and craft without disrupting the home’s restrained palette, a nod to traditional embroidery techniques reinterpreted for a contemporary interior. Lighting was layered deliberately, combining recessed architectural lighting with sculptural statement pieces to allow the mood of each room to shift from bright and functional by day to soft and intimate by evening.
This project reflects a broader philosophy that runs through much of LUMI’s residential work: that true luxury lies in restraint, proportion and craftsmanship rather than ornamentation, an approach we explore further in our thinking on warm minimalism, and one that continues to shape how we design private homes across Dubai, London and beyond.
