LUMI Interiors partnered with John Cullen Lighting on the lighting design for a Palm Jumeirah apartment, featured as a case study on the John Cullen Lighting website. The project layers architectural and decorative lighting throughout the home, using considered backlighting, shelf lighting and accent fittings to create atmosphere without ever feeling flat or overly staged.
“When we use the effect of backlighting within a shelf, it can leave the object in silhouette. However, our aim here was to create softness with delicate layers of light.” — John Cullen Lighting
The result is a home that changes character from day to evening — a collaborative approach that reflects LUMI’s own interior design projects and the studio’s full range of interior design services.
