Planning & Budgeting

Look & Feel Mood Images

With the framework in place, the design narrative begins to unfold. We curate a series of mood images that capture the essence of the project’s desired atmosphere. These references cover tone, texture, light, shapes, and spatial mood, forming a shared visual language between designer and client.

For Maison Orée, this mood direction leaned toward calm, luminous interiors characterised by soft minimalism, natural materials and warm, understated luxury.

Material Board Selections

Once the aesthetic direction is refined, we build layered material boards to bring the palette to life. Stone, timber, fabrics, metal finishes and wall coverings are carefully arranged to show how each space will feel in real life.

These boards help clients understand how colours and textures interact, ensuring the overall scheme feels cohesive, authentic, and tailored to their tastes.

At Maison Orée, the palette featured tactile timbers, gentle neutrals, and natural stone selections that amplified the home’s serene character.

Rendered Elevations

To bridge the gap between concept and construction, we produce rendered elevations that illustrate how materials, joinery and architectural details translate within the space. These drawings bring clarity to key design decisions and help clients visualise the finished interior with accuracy.

At Maison Orée, rendered elevations were essential in developing the soft curves, refined cabinetry and balanced architectural lines that became signature features of the project.

Detailed Design

With the concept approved, our team move into full detailed design, the technical backbone of any successful interior project. This stage includes:

At Maison Orée, this includes bespoke upholstery, natural fibre rugs, sculptural lighting and handcrafted furniture that adds depth, warmth and individuality to each space.
